Best Practices for Preventing Frozen Pipes?

I'm really interested in reducing my energy bills and carbon footprint by installing solar panels. However, the quotes I've received from professionals seem pretty high. Has anyone here successfully done a DIY solar panel installation? How complex was the project, and was it worth the savings?

Insulating any exposed pipes in my home's unheated spaces, such as the attic, crawl space, or garage, is one of my first tasks. Heat tape can be wrapped around the pipes or foam pipe insulation sleeves can be used for this.

I've found that opening cabinet doors under sinks during cold snaps helps warm air circulate around pipes, reducing the risk of freezing. 🚪

Prevent frozen pipes with a little TLC—keep those faucets dripping and cabinets open, and cozy up exposed pipes with insulation. It's like giving your plumbing a warm blanket for winter! 🚿🧤❄️
