Any suggestions for preventing slips and falls in the elderly?

Hey folks! I'm looking for practical advice on making homes safer for seniors to prevent accidents. What flooring options or simple adjustments have you found effective in reducing the risk of slips and falls for our beloved elderly family members?

First up, get those non-slip rugs—they're like magic carpets but with extra grip.
Then, throw in some stylish handrails, turning your hallways into the grand entrance of a safety ballroom.

Hey there! When it comes to preventing slips for seniors, I found installing non-slip flooring like cork or rubber mats in key areas really helps. Also, adding grab bars in the bathroom and near stairs is a game-changer. And don't underestimate good lighting – brighter spaces make a huge difference. 💡

Hey everyone! Such an important topic, especially when it comes to our beloved seniors. To reduce the risk of slips and falls, encourage them to use supportive and non-slip footwear, both indoors and outdoors.

Hi Yankee, you can try by eliminating trip hazards and this includes loose rugs, clutter on the floor, electrical cords, and uneven surfaces. Secure rugs with double-sided tape or slip-resistant pads. Hope this helps!
