Iβm worried about earthquakes and want to make my home safer. What steps should I take to ensure it can handle a quake? Any advice on securing furniture or making structural upgrades?
First off, secure heavy furniture to walls w/ brackets & use quake putty for smaller items. For structure, reinforce the foundation & check if your house needs a seismic retrofit. Donβt forget to strap water heaters too! Stay safe! π
