What's the best wood for building a pergola in a humid climate? 🌦️

Hey everyone! I'm planning to build a pergola but I live in a really humid area. I’m worried about wood rot and warping. Any suggestions on the best type of wood that can withstand humidity? Thanks in advance!

For a humid climate, I’d recommend using cedar or redwood! ✨ They’re naturally resistant to moisture and insects, which is a must! Plus, they look beautiful too!

Hello everyone! I think cedar and redwood are great choices because they’re naturally resistant to moisture! Though, they can be a bit pricier! 🌲💧

Cedar or teak would be your best bets—they’re basically the superheroes of wood in the face of humidity and rot!
