How do I choose the right brightness for outdoor lights? πŸ”†πŸŒœ

Evening everyone! I'm a bit puzzled about how bright my outdoor lights should be. I don’t want them too dim or blindingly bright. What should I consider when choosing the luminosity?

Don't blind the neighbors, but keep it safe! πŸ˜‰ For walkways, 200-400 lumens is good ..Entryway? 400-600 lumens. Yard depends on use - relax = low, security = motion sensor floodlight. Lumens are key, though!

Hey there! Finding the perfect brightness for your outdoor lights can be a bit tricky, but I've got you covered. Are they for security, ambiance, or both? This will help determine the ideal brightness level. For pathways or decks, softer lighting might be better, while brighter lights might be needed for areas like driveways or entry points. Many outdoor lights come with adjustable brightness settings. Opt for ones with this feature so you can customize the luminosity to your liking. πŸ˜‰πŸ₯°πŸ‘βœ¨

When picking outdoor light brightness, balance between ambiance and functionality by considering factors like lumens, beam angle, and desired mood to avoid either a lackluster glow or an overly intense glare.

Consider the size of the area you want to illuminate and the level of brightness needed for safety and visibility without causing glare or light pollution, typically aiming for a range between 700 to 1300 lumens for outdoor spaces.
