Cast Iron Skillets: How to Season and Maintain? ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿงด

Hi! I've recently bought a cast iron skillet. Can anyone share tips on how to properly season and maintain it for long-term use?

Cast iron is the bomb! ๐Ÿ’ฃ Easy to season coz u just gotta cook with oil a bunch and it gets that non-stick magic. Wash with warm soapy water, no harsh scrubbers, dry it completely, then maybe rub a lil' oil on it to keep it happy. The more you use it, the better it gets! ๐Ÿ˜

Hey there! ๐Ÿฅ˜ To season your cast iron skillet, coat it with a thin layer of oil (flaxseed oil works great), bake it upside down at 450ยฐF for an hour, and for maintenance, just avoid soap and scrub with a brush if needed. ๐ŸŒŸ

        Sure!
To properly maintain your cast iron skillet, season it with a thin layer of oil, avoid soap when cleaning, and store it dry to prevent rust.โ€‹
