What's the best way to store fruits and vegetables to prolong freshness?

I'm trying to reduce my environmental footprint in the kitchen, but I'm torn between using reusable containers and disposable options. What factors do you consider when choosing between the two, and which do you think is ultimately better for the planet? โ€‹

Store fruits and vegetables properly by separating ethylene-producing (like apples) from ethylene-sensitive (like leafy greens), using perforated bags for airflow, and storing in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator or in a cool, dark place for items like potatoes and onions. ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿฅฆ

Hey! Reusable containers win the eco-friendly battle because they cut down on waste and can be used over and over; just think of them as the kitchen's version of a cape-wearing superhero! ๐ŸŒโ™ป๏ธ๐Ÿฑ

Re-usable containers all the way! โ™ป๏ธ Sure, they take a little more cleaning, but they last forever and you're not throwing away plastic every week. Plus, some have adjustable vents for different fruits and veggies so win win! Just gotta find the right container for the job ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜‰

For sure, reusable containers are a win for the planet ๐ŸŒ; they cut down on waste and save cash in the long run, while disposable options just end up piling up in landfills ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ.

Hey there! For keeping fruits and veggies fresh, reusable containers are a win for both your wallet and the planet, but just make sure they're airtight and you keep your produce in the right spotโ€”fridge for some, counter for others! ๐Ÿฅ•๐ŸŽ
